With the start of the PET Travel Scheme in the early part of 2000, it is expected that dogs registered outside the UK will wish to enter Kennel Club licensed events. In order to compete, the overseas competitor must have obtained an Authority to Compete number (ATC) from The Kennel Club for each dog(s).

1. Entry forms:   Overseas exhibitors must complete the ATC section of the entry form.

* The Kennel Club Authority to Compete number for dogs resident outside the UK must be stated or the entry will be returned.

2. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the Show/Event can be made. All overseas entries without an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor.

3. Societies are required to publish The Kennel Club Authority to Compete number for each dog after its name in the Show/Trial catalogue.

Notes:
Breeds not currently recognised by The Kennel Club are not eligible for entry at shows. Breeds currently on the Imported Breeds Register have only restricted entries at shows. A list of those breeds eligible for competition in the UK appears on The Kennel Club website. For a list of Kennel Club Recognised Terrier Breeds click here.
Entries cannot be accepted "ATC applied for".
